Methodology

Coding is fun and does not have to be hard.

What you need to code:

  • Enjoy it

What you don't need to code:

  • Be good and maths

  • Be good at computers

  • Have glasses

The BBC microbit is at the centre of learning to code at Codos. It is essentially a mini computer that kids programme using a tablet. This means a new starter can get a working code to show results in less than 10 minute. If you don't believe us please check out this video.

Our methodology is based on 3 pillars

  1. Project based: Projects mean that we know what we are aiming for, each sessions has a goal of a working product such as:

    1. Make your microbit display text

    2. Build a step counter

    3. Send a message to your friend

  2. Quick reward and feedback: In each session we will see results within the first 15 min and then we will build on this. Seeing results is the most rewarding way to learn.

  3. Feed your creativity: Coding is about creativity not about following set rules we are not spoon feeding instructions but building and learning together
